Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Firmware Validation Engineer to fill an open position with a Fortune 15 company based in the greater Seattle area. This role supports the development of next-generation hardware by validating software functionality on new device platforms, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring a high-quality end-user experience.
Responsibilities:
Perform software validation and functional testing on new hardware devices, ensuring readiness for release
Flash LKG images, install new software builds, and verify successful deployment across test devices
Debug Windows device issues, identify usability concerns, and document findings for engineering teams
Execute test plans, track defects, and support issue resolution through retesting and validation cycles
Qualifications:
0–2 years of experience debugging Windows devices, including familiarity with device usability issues
0–2 years of experience in software validation or testing, preferably on hardware devices
Strong basic computer skills, including installing software, device setup, and file management
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field preferred
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to learn new tools and testing processes quickly in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams
