Job Description
As a Buyer/Supply Manager you will proactively manage the procurement of high technology or life sciences production materials, aftermarket materials, equipment and/or services from a global supply base in accordance with supply chain optimization and management objectives. These materials are used in worldwide manufacturing and/or sold in distribution locations with a wide variety of product volumes, manufacturing conditions, and constraints. The primary responsibility of this position is handling the assurance of supply of these materials and balancing inventory with a right supply strategy. The accountability is from product introduction through product obsolescence.
This is a hybrid position that will allow remote work Monday and Fridays.

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $82,480.00 - $128,875.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities:
Assurance of Supply and Supplier Relationships:
- Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with suppliers.
- Set clear delivery expectations and manage to these expectations.
- Communicate material forecasting to suppliers.
- Release orders for material requirements.
- Ensure that accurate information is received, understood and acted upon by suppliers.
- Collaboratively address process related issues with suppliers.
- Periodically evaluate suppliers to ensure that expectations are being met.
- Coach suppliers to improve performance.
- Escalate issues as needed.
- Participate in projects and improvement initiatives as needed.
Material and Order Management:
- Analyze Material Requirements Planning (MRP) data for accuracy and provide feedback to Suppliers/and or other Stakeholders as needed.
- Establish and maintain SAP part parameters. (Material Master, Source List, Information Records and Inventory Controls).
- Resolve material disruptions issues. Complete a root cause analysis.
- Implement inventory management plans for assigned parts.
- Maintain purchase order regulatory compliance (SOX compliance).
- Manage part piece price. (e.g. volume discounts, payment terms, process improvements).
- Reconcile receiving and accounts payable problems.
- Handle the return of non-conforming material to suppliers.
- Handle excess material inventories and properly dispose of excess material.
- Process Engineering Change Orders (ECO's) in a timely manner.
- Effectively communicate with the worldwide order fulfillment organization.
- Escalate material issues to the commodity manager and procurement management team.
- Participate in projects and improvement initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master's Degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, or related degree or equivalent education/experience
- Typically 4 years relevant experience in supply chain
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient with SAP
- Experience with Power BI preferred
