Journeyman card preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician supports facility operations by installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment while collaborating with engineering and production teams. This role ensures all maintenance activities and projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret mechanical prints to troubleshoot and repair equipment including conveyors, bearings, belts, and structural components
- Perform fabrication and mechanical repairs using tools such as welders, torches, plasma cutters, and related equipment
- Read and interpret electrical schematics to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems using tools such as multimeters and megohm meters
- Work with electrical systems across multiple voltages (480VAC, 240VAC, 120VAC, and 24VDC), including panel building and component installation
- Troubleshoot and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including motors, cylinders, valves, and sensors
- Review and make basic adjustments to PLC programs using platforms such as Allen-Bradley (RSLogix 5/500/5000, Studio 5000) and Siemens Step 7
- Troubleshoot and maintain robotic systems (ABB), including program review, calibration, backups, and component replacement
- Maintain and adjust vision systems (Cognex, Keyence, ABB, Sick) and laser marking systems (Keyence, Mecco)
- Complete maintenance work orders, documentation, and recordkeeping in alignment with safety and operational requirements
- Communicate effectively across departments and shifts to support production and maintenance needs

- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal standards, including occupational health and safety and energy management systems
- Follow all required documentation, training, and communication processes within assigned areas
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s degree in Electromechanical Technology required
- Minimum of 3 years of related maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Minimum Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to operate forklifts, boom lifts, and cranes
- Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Required PPE
- Long sleeve 100% cotton shirt
- Long, non-flammable pants
- Safety-toe footwear (ASTM F2413 compliant)
- Safety glasses/goggles (ANSI Z87.1 compliant)
- Hearing protection
- Gloves as required by task
- Hair secured; no loose clothing or strings
Additional PPE as required: safety harness, hard hat, welding jacket/helmet, face shield (grinding), and task-specific protective equipment
