Sr. Scala Developer

We’re looking for a Sr. Scala Developer to join a high-impact engineering team building scalable, cloud-native systems. You’ll work across modern DevOps pipelines, NoSQL data stores, and distributed microservices while contributing to next-gen APIs and data-intensive applications.

Our Client provides reliable, high-speed internet, cable/video & mobile connectivity to 41 states and 57 million households. This position is a critical piece of the IPVS practice.

Requirements

• 6 years of Scala Development experience
• Technology Stack: Scala, Scalatra, Memcached, Kafka, MongoDB, docker, Kubernetes, Splunk & Datadog
• Build robust, high-performance backend services using Scala
• Develop and optimize microservices deployed on Kubernetes in AWS
• Work with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases to handle flexible, large-scale data
• Containerize applications using Docker, and manage deployments with Helm, Istio, or Argo
• Monitor and troubleshoot systems using tools like Datadog or Splunk
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins or GitLab
• Contribute to and maintain API documentation using Swagger (OpenAPI)
• Implement and tune caching layers using Memcached, Kafka, or similar technologies
