Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:

This position will be a part of the maintenance team with overall responsibility for maintaining the operating facility in a proficient manner. The position will assist in preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, planned and unplanned repairs, installation projects and more. Position will be M-F with Saturday work as needed based on business needs. The position needs basic to advanced knowledge of electrical, welding, mechanical and boiler workings.

• Mechanical Repairs and Maintenance
• Basic electrical diagnosis and repairs
• Welding, Cutting, Grinding skills
• Greasing, lubrication, inspecting of critical equipment
• Monitoring of boiler functions and adjusting as needed
• Preventative Maintenance
• Predictive Maintenance
• Emergency Repairs
• Equipment Installations
• Job Functions are not exclusive to functions listed above

Other Duties:

• Parts ordering
• Vehicle maintenance
• Heavy Equipment repairs

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

Experience:

• Prior Mechanical Maintenance Experience
• Welding
• Basic tool
• Basic electrical
• Automation

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

Skills:

• Trouble shooting
• Critical thinking
• Prioritization
• Attention to detail

Reasoning ability:

• Ability to climb ladders and stairs, lift and carry 50 pounds, and wear necessary PPE.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while ensuring the manufacture of quality products.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach above shoulders; use foot/feet to operate equipment; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
