What’s an Au Pair?
An au pair is a young adult between the ages of 18-26 from another country who lives with a host family to provide childcare in exchange for room, board, and a stipend. It’s a life-changing cultural exchange, and you help make it a success!
What Does a Local Coordinator Do?
As a Local Coordinator, you’re the go-to person for host families and au pairs in your area. You’ll build relationships, provide guidance, and create a welcoming environment for cultural exchange.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Support families and au pairs during their 12-month journey together
- Maintain monthly check-ins and keep communication logs
- Visit host families at home before their au pair arrives
- Video chat with new au pairs to ensure safe arrival
- Host fun, monthly in-person meetings for your au pair cluster
- Help resolve challenges with empathy and professionalism
- Represent Agent Au Pair in your community
- Refer families and earn a $500 bonus per successful placement!
Who We’re Looking For
You might be a great fit if you’re:
- 25 years old and legally allowed to work in the U.S.
- Excited to work independently, part-time, and from home
- Passionate about global cultures, youth mentorship, or education
- A great communicator with solid organizational skills
- Available some evenings and weekends
- Within 1 hour of your listed job posting location
- Tech-savvy (Zoom, WhatsApp, email) with access to WiFi, smartphone, and a vehicle
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience in education, childcare, social work, or parenting
- Bilingual abilities (not required!)
- A big heart for cultural exchange
Compensation
This is a part-time, contract-based role with flexible earning potential. The more you take on, the more you can earn—plus, earn bonuses through referrals!* (*Compensation varies by tasks completed.)
