Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Lead to oversee and coordinate all aspects of facilities maintenance within our manufacturing environment. This vital role involves managing maintenance teams, ensuring the reliability of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and maintaining a safe and efficient workplace. The Maintenance Lead will lead troubleshooting efforts, implement maintenance procedures, and ensure compliance with safety regulations to support continuous production operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a proactive leader passionate about industrial maintenance and team management.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage facilities maintenance teams, assigning tasks and ensuring timely completion of maintenance activities.
  • Oversee the repair and maintenance of mechanical systems, HVAC units, electrical systems (including high and low voltage), plumbing, and other industrial equipment.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Troubleshoot engineering issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, multimeters (voltmeter, ohmmeter), and other diagnostic tools to identify root causes of equipment failures.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies; conduct safety audits regularly.
  • Coordinate with project management teams for facility upgrades or modifications, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within scope.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance repairs, inspections, safety compliance, and equipment history for audit purposes.
  • Train team members on proper maintenance repair procedures, safety protocols, and the use of diagnostic tools.
  • Manage facilities maintenance schedules efficiently to minimize downtime while optimizing resource allocation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in heavy machinery/equipment maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and controls.
  • Strong mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Ability to diagnose complex equipment problems and determine effective solutions.
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with a maintenance team.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
  • Willingness to work hands-on and respond to equipment breakdowns when necessary.
