Agawam Rehab & Nursing Campus is seeking an experienced Medicaid Specialist to support our four skilled nursing locations. This is a full-time temporary position with the possibility of becoming permanent for an organized professional with experience in Medicaid processing, billing, and insurance coordination.Salary: $65,000-$75,000 per yearWhat You'll Do:Review Medicaid applications and verify financial and personal informationInterview applicants and family members as neededDocument findings and assist with Medicaid approvals and denialsManage private billing and collection of outstanding balancesOversee monthly aging reportsExecute admission agreements with residentsCoordinate insurance authorizations and appealsMaintain accurate records in accordance with federal and state regulationsWhat We're Looking For:1 year of Medicaid processing experience preferredKnowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement preferredStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational and attention-to-detail skillsBenefits:Benefits are available upon permanent placement, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
