The Agape School
The Agape School is seeking a warm, energetic, and dedicated Bilingual Preschool Teacher (Spanish/English) to join our growing early childhood education team. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about working with young children and excited to incorporate both Spanish and English into meaningful, engaging classroom experiences.
At The Agape School, we believe children learn best through hands-on exploration, play, creativity, and meaningful relationships. Our program focuses on developing the whole child while creating a nurturing environment where every child feels safe, loved, confident, and excited to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create a safe, nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
- Incorporate Spanish and English into daily classroom routines, conversations, songs, stories, and activities.
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and learning experiences.
- Utilize our Learning Beyond Paper curriculum and incorporate hands-on, play-based learning.
- Support children’s social-emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
- Encourage children to develop confidence, independence, kindness, and a love for learning.
- Maintain positive and professional communication with families.
- Provide parents with regular updates about their child’s day and development through ProCare.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized classroom.
- Follow all health, safety, licensing, and childcare regulations.
- Work collaboratively with fellow teachers, administrators, and support staff.
- Actively supervise and engage with children throughout the entire day.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Fluent or highly proficient in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
- Early Childhood Education coursework, CDA, Associate’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is a plus.
- Must have a genuine passion for teaching and working with young children.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Dependable, professional, patient, nurturing, and energetic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Must be able to meet all Pennsylvania childcare licensing and background clearance requirements.
