Agape is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller/Administrative Assistant to join our team. This position is full-time in our Parkville office.
Responsibilities:

- Review and verify the accuracy of billing data and correct any errors
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframes
- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and providers
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information
Experience:
- Proven experience in medical billing, medical records, and coding
- Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD-10, and medical collection
- Knowledge of medical office systems and procedures
- Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer and direct phone calls promptly and efficiently
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry
- Manage office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary
- Assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and emails
- Provide administrative support to staff as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
- Perform outreach as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Mental Health office or similar setting
- Strong proofreading skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in using office equipment such as printers, copiers, and fax machines, label machines
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office is required
