Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Review and process patient billing and insurance claims accurately and promptly.
- Monitor claim submissions and follow up on unpaid or denied claims to ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to verify patient information and ensure proper coding for services rendered.
- Maintain detailed records of billing activities, adjustments, and collections.
- Identify trends in claim denials or delays and implement strategies for process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and payer-specific guidelines.
- Assist in resolving patient billing inquiries and communicate effectively with insurance companies.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and ensuring all billing practices adhere to policies.
Experience
- Previous experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, medical billing, or coding is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems (such as CPT, ICD-10), and insurance processes.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members, patients, and insurance providers.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy and compliance is highly valued.
Pay: $46,737.03 - $56,285.46 per year
