About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support daily operations at our agricultural research station in San Luis Obispo. This role plays a key part in ensuring the success of research trials by providing administrative, clerical, and operational support to the Trial Administrator and Station Manager.

What You’ll Do
- Perform data entry and generate reports in accordance with SOPs and team requests
- Support trial operations by preparing, organizing, and tracking documentation, protocols, and regulatory records
- Answer, screen, and route phone calls professionally
- Welcome visitors and ensure site security and confidentiality procedures are followed
- Maintain and organize physical and digital filing systems (trial records, permits, station documents)
- Retrieve and summarize information from records, emails, and meeting notes
- Respond to administrative inquiries and provide general office support
- Coordinate travel, meetings, field tours, and client visits
- Prepare meeting agendas, schedules, and supporting materials; record and distribute minutes
- Maintain office supplies and coordinate maintenance of office and station equipment
- Assist with tracking and ordering operational supplies (PPE, field materials, etc.)

Qualifications
- Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3–5 years of administrative or office support experience
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs occasionally
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour (depending on experience)
