About the role:
The Key Account Manager- Swine is a field-based position, reporting to the Head of Swine Business Unit. This role is responsible for front line business and account management with key swine accounts. The role will apply a Key Account Management approach to cultivate networks and relationships with Veterinarians, and Key Producers. The role will also work to leverage Newport Laboratories, and Vaxxinova's resources to drive sales growth. The role will represent Newport Laboratories, and Vaxxinova at key industry events, meetings and with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL's).
This position requires availability to travel about 50-70% of business time.

Main responsibilities:
- Leverage resources, build relationships & networks to identify opportunities for customers, deliver and drive sales results.
- Identify emerging needs and trends for Key Accounts, Vaxxinova and the industry, communicating these needs to the broader Newport Laboratories and Vaxxinova team.
- Develop & execute account plans (looking 12-18 months out), including sales forecasting, and supporting customers with field visits.
- Lead account teams that create and capture the most value for Newport Laboratories and Vaxxinova, and for customers. Work across company functions to bring maximum value and a good customer experience for Key Accounts.
- Represent Newport Laboratories and Vaxxinova at key industry & customer meetings and work to influence KOL's to demonstrate Vaxxinova's emerging leadership in the vaccine space.
- Participate in weekly swine team calls, and provide timely feedback to Swine Business Unit Director.
- Monitor diagnostic submissions, request additional testing (as indicated) assist with regulatory affairs data collection, to aid and facilitate vaccine formulation and orders.
Qualifications and Capabilities:
- Deep understanding of the swine industry, the key players, and technical needs
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Representing our entrepreneurial spirit and hands-on mentality. Must be a team player.
- Written and verbal English communication skills to effectively work with and interact with a variety of stakeholders.
- Time management and organizational skills

Experience/Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or Animal Science
- Five (5) years of experience in Animal Health Sales- swine is an advantage.
- Must hold a valid U.S driver's license and authorized to work in the US.
