Essential Duties:
- Identify and qualify prospective customer opportunities through phone, email, virtual, and in-person engagement.
- Review and analyze customer specifications, process requirements, and application data to recommend appropriate equipment and process solutions.
- Evaluate material characteristics and processing parameters to determine appropriate equipment configurations.
- Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and cost estimates using standard business software and internal systems.
- Coordinate and participate in customer equipment trials and testing activities domestically and internationally.
- Maintain and manage customer opportunities, project records, and sales activity within the CRM system.
- Analyze application requirements, sales data, and market trends to support business development efforts.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and sales teams to ensure alignment of technical solutions with customer requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with food processing companies, plant engineers, and production teams.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Engineering, Food Science and Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
- 3 years of professional experience in application engineering, process engineering, or technical sales supporting industrial or process equipment within food manufacturing or food processing environments.
- 3 years of experience working in environments operating under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and/or FDA-regulated production standards with an understanding of food processing operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience supporting equipment applications within food processing environments.
- 5 years of experience preparing technical proposals, quotations, or equipment solutions for industrial processing systems.
- 5 years of experience supporting protein powder, nutraceutical, or related food processing applications.
- 5 years of experience utilizing a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to remain in a stationary position while working at a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to move within office, laboratory, and manufacturing environments.
- Occasional standing, walking, and lifting of materials up to 10 pounds.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require.
