About the Role
AG Equipment is seeking an experienced Industrial Welder to join our team. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual who maintains a positive attitude, takes pride in producing quality work, and can stay focused while working efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of industrial welding experience and be proficient in all phases of fabrication, from material preparation through final quality inspection.
Key Responsibilities
Perform MIG welding and fabrication AG Equipment consisting of Bale Feeders, Straw Bedders, Bale Flakers, Commodity Trailers, ect.
Prepare materials and inspect welding surfaces prior to welding.
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding specifications.
Measure accurately using tape measures and other precision tools.
Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards.
Report completed work to the Shop Manager for quality control and final inspection.
Repair, modify, and fabricate metal components as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of industrial welding experience.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
Experience with material preparation, fabrication, and quality inspection.
Comfortable working on large fabrication projects, including trailers and heavy equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
Ability to identify defects, troubleshoot problems, and perform necessary repairs.
Knowledge of shop equipment and fabrication tools.
Familiarity with metallurgy, mechanical drawing, physics, or chemistry is a plus.
Ability to lift, stand, bend, and work in a manufacturing environment throughout the workday.
