Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately across various vehicle systems.
- Repair and maintain engines, including diesel engine repair, powertrain components, and automotive engine systems, ensuring optimal performance.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems effectively.
- Conduct wheel alignments, vehicle maintenance, and heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate hand tools and power tools.
- Utilize knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) to calibrate and repair driver-assist features for enhanced safety.
- Execute auto body repairs such as welding, painting prep, and minor structural fixes as needed.
- Follow manufacturer specifications and schematics to perform precise repairs on GM vehicles or similar models, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and diagnostics.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive engine technology, mechanical repair, and vehicle systems maintenance.
- Skilled in the use of automotive diagnostic tools, power tools, hand tools, and manual handling techniques for heavy lifting.
- Ability to interpret schematics accurately and apply mechanical knowledge to complex repairs involving engines, transmissions, and electrical components.
- Experience working with ADAS calibration, alignment procedures, and heavy-duty vehicle maintenance is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Strong mechanical aptitude combined with a proactive approach to vehicle repair and maintenance tasks.
