Part-Time After School Elementary STEM, Healthy Habits, Drama, and Chess Instructor Needed

Afterschool Enrichment Solutions is seeking dynamic and reliable STEM, Healthy Habits, Drama, and Chess Instructors to lead after school programs for elementary students in the Saint James, NY 11780 area.

Since 2001, we've provided high-quality enrichment classes to thousands of schools and over 30,000 students nationwide.

About the Role: Live in the Saint James, NY 11780 area? Be the spark that ignites creativity and knowledge this spring. We are seeking dynamic instructors to lead engaging courses in :

• Chess
• STEAM/Science
• Healthy Habits
• Drama

No prior knowledge required for most subjects, since we provide user-friendly lesson plans to guide you through each class.

Chess knowledge is required in order to teach chess classes (e.g. piece value, castling, pawn promotion, strategies, etc.).

An ideal candidate must be at least 18 years of age with excellent classroom management skills and have an energetic personality. The students are primarily between the ages of 6 and 12, so experience with youth is a plus!

Expectations:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be available for all dates
• Must arrive to class 15-minutes prior to start
• Payments are issued on a monthly basis, following month of service, i.e. October classes are issued in November, on or before the 21st of the month
• Must communicate behavioral concerns to scheduling manager
• Must complete a W-9, this is a contract position
• All materials needed for class will be available on-site
• Programs are held at an elementary school, after regular school hours
