Medical Assistant Instructor (Part-Time Evening Opportunities)
We are looking for an experienced Medical Assistant with a minimum of 2 years clinical experience working within a physician’s office or laboratory to join our faculty for our evening sessions which are either Mondays & Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm.
The Medical Assistant Instructor is responsible for teaching one course described in the Medical Assistant program each cycle. This includes utilizing effective teaching tools such as audio/visual equipment and reference materials; preparing lesson plans and learning experiences; following an established course outline; managing a classroom of students; evaluating students through testing and other related means and reporting on and recording class and individual student progress.
Requirements:
· 2 years clinical experience working within a physician’s office. Skills such as phlebotomy, vital signs, ECG, urinalysis, wound care, EMR/EHR, light billing and coding, filing, pharmacology, medical asepsis, patient care, customer service skills.
· Knowledge of Anatomy & Physiology
· Knowledge of Medical Terminology
· Knowledge of Google Workspace using applications such as Google Docs, Forms, Sheets and Google Classroom a plus
· An ability to learn new methodologies and systems
· Excellent communication skills
· Teaching experience a plus
