Afterschool Enrichment Solutions is seeking a dynamic and reliable Chess Instructor to lead after school programs for elementary students in the Hammond, IN 46320 area.
Since 2001, we've provided high-quality enrichment classes to thousands of schools and over 30,000 students nationwide.
About the Role: You'll be the spark that helps students discover the fun and strategy of chess! We provide user-friendly lesson plans and all necessary materials to guide you through each class.
Specific Requirements:
- You must have solid knowledge of chess fundamentals (e.g., piece value, castling, pawn promotion, checkmating patterns).
- Experience working with children (ages 6-12) is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Energetic, reliable, and punctual.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to arrive at each class 15 minutes prior to the start time.
Details:
- Pay: $40-$60 per one-hour class taught.
- Type: This is a contract position (W9). Payments are issued monthly for the previous month's classes.
