We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher for our Afterschool Center who will provide a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with educational standards and cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a positive learning environment.
- Supervise students during activities, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Foster relationships with students to encourage their social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Collaborate with parents and staff to communicate student progress and address any concerns.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to first aid protocols and emergency procedures.
- Organize recreational activities such as sports, arts, theater, and tutoring sessions that promote teamwork and skill development.
- Assist in the development of individualized education plans for students with special needs when applicable.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in various settings such as school, daycare, camps, or afterschool programs is essential.
- Strong background in early childhood education or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies to support childhood development is highly desirable.
- Skills in tutoring is considered a plus.
