Salary Range: $25.00 - $35.00 Hourly
Basic Assignment: The Human Resources Coordinator works under the direct supervision of the Director of HR to plan and execute departmental strategies. This position performs a variety of duties in support of various core human resources functions, including recruitment and onboarding, maintaining and processing information in our HRIS system, employee and labor relations, and procedure development and implementation. The Human Resources Coordinator will be able to use their knowledge of labor law to ensure compliance of organizational policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field highly preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of HR experience required
- Knowledge and understanding of Labor Law highly preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly and timely with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work on assignments independently as necessary
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with district staff, public officials, parents, and community leaders
- Ability to respond and act to time-sensitive incidents in emergency-like situations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and records
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Highly computer literate with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and HRIS systems
- Fluency in multiple languages is preferred
- This is a hybrid role which requires travel to our headquarters and/or sites about twice a week as needed
Major Functions:
- Performs a broad variety of administrative tasks for the HR & Operations team
- Responsible for external communication with prospective staff
- Coordinates the pre-hire/onboarding process for staff, posting vacancies, and collaborating with hiring managers for start dates
- Serves as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support on HR-related matters
- Assist Director of HR with employee relation issues and conducting necessary investigations
- Support with staff work-related injuries
- Registers employee profiles in HRIS and training systems
- Prepare all off-boarding materials for terminations and process all separations on HRIS and training platforms
- Registers for all available job fairs and ensures hiring managers have all materials needed to promote the organization
- Produces and submits reports on HR metrics to Director of HR
- Assists with Finance and payroll projects as needed
- Stays current and up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices
- Supports Finance and Operations with audits as needed
- Ensures staff personnel records are updated and current as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
