Responsibilities

• Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions efficiently.
• Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with precision, ensuring proper cash drawer handling at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product information or demos when needed.
• Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and assist with merchandising efforts to keep the store inviting and well-presented.
• Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers over the phone, ensuring clear communication.
• Support inventory management through stocking and product demos, helping customers find what they need quickly and confidently.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure a seamless shopping experience, including supervising new team members if applicable.

Skills

• Proven experience with POS systems and cash register operations in a retail environment.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
• Demonstrated cashiering skills including basic math for handling transactions accurately.
• Experience in supervising or mentoring team members is advantageous.
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and retail math principles.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for engaging with customers both in person and over the phone.
• Ability to perform stocking duties efficiently while maintaining attention to detail during retail sales transactions.

Pay: $15.55 - $19.00 per hour
