Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders with enthusiasm and accuracy
- Operate Square POS systems to process transactions efficiently and accurately
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cashiering duties with attention to detail and integrity
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed during food handling and preparation
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and creating a positive atmosphere
Requirements
- Previous bakery, cafe, or restaurant experience is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly
- Ability to perform basic math for sales transactions, cash handling, and retail math calculations
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in food service or retail environments is advantageous
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
- Basic understanding of food preparation and serving techniques
Compensation: Hourly pay (determined based on experience) tips
