Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of this position is: This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position located in the Transportation Flight of the Logistics Readiness Squadron at an AFRC unit. Purpose of this position is to provide staff assistance/surveillance of transportation expertise and guidance and to provide training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein.Duties:
- Serves as the focal point for all transportation related matters by reviewing existing policies and procedures to determine need and effectiveness of policies and procedures, eliminating those which are unnecessary or obsolete.
- Coordinates unit training assembly (UTA) and annual tour (AT) training requirements with host base and higher headquarters.
- Performs work as the Unit Primary Vehicle Control Officer.
- Performs staff assistance visits to determine effectiveness of subordinate vehicle control programs, and compliance with unit, Air Force and higher headquarters policies.
- Prepares letters, reports, messages and other pertinent data for supervisor's review in support of unit transportation requirements.
