Responsibilities
- Effectively supervise groups within Logistics to ensure all customer requirements are met
- Guide the escalation process. Review processes to ensure adherence to policy and adjust accordingly.
- Review daily workload to ensure adequate availability of resources. Provide leadership in ongoing cost reduction and continuous improvement programs/projects.
- Anticipate and resolve day-to-day issues, complete root cause failure analyses, and take corrective actions
- Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers.
- Communicate freight transportation information to customers or suppliers, using transportation management, electronic logistics marketplace, or electronic freight information systems, to improve transportation service efficiency, speed, or quality.
- Implement specific customer requirements, such as internal reporting or customized transportation metrics
- Manage relationships with our TMS/MTS providers
- Weekly calls – set up monthly meetings with key leaders- project updates, industry updates, improvements, etc.
- Quarterly reviews
- Manage relationships with all LTL, TL, parcel, and international providers
- Review KPIs and customer requirements.
- Ensure quarterly and month-end reporting is executed and validated
- Visit Local Plants monthly and engage with shipping teams
- Conduct RFPs: LTL, Parcel, TL (Dry-van and Flatbed), Air, International Ocean

Qualifications
- 4-year degree in a Logistics-related field and 10 to 15 years of relevant work experience preferred
- Excellent verbal, written, and team communication skills
- 7 years of logistics experience with TMS/MTS systems
- Strong systems skills, including proficiency with integrated software applications
- Thinks critically and can problem-solve
- Computer and software knowledge required
- Ability to interface with multiple levels of the organization and communicate effectively
Working Conditions
- Normal office and manufacturing facility environment. Some travel may be required, but not frequently (<10%).
