Laser Machine Operator - Night Shift

NIGHT SHIFT POSITION

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Must be able to follow all appropriate safety practices.

· Setup and operate Laser Machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.

· Read and analyze prints, layouts, or route sheets to determine optimal setup.

· De-nest completed parts, inspect, and match to prints.

· Material handling: receive, check-in and stock/put away raw materials.

· Inventory Maintenance: issue material, cycle count and manage obsolete material.

· Use suction hoist and lift bridge to insert and remove material.

· Organize parts for the next process.

· Troubleshoot machine to ensure quality.

· Perform basic routine maintenance.

· Assist with post laser operations.

· Regular, timely attendance to meet organizational needs in an efficient and effective manner.

· All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Must be at least 18 years of age.

· Ability to operate the laser at moderate level.

· Prior forklift and operator experience a plus.

· Basic mathematics skills and be able to read a measuring tape.

· Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds frequently. Over 50 pounds, a forklift or crane will be used.

· Must be able to push or pull a cart with 80 pounds of force.

· Perform work standing for ten hour days, four days a week including overtime as required on Fridays.
