Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Staff member to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, functional, and comfortable environment by performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks. Your expertise will help prevent equipment failures, enhance building safety, and improve overall facility performance. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including HVAC, electrical equipment, plumbing, and facilities equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Repair and maintain electrical systems using schematics, hand tools, electrical equipment repair techniques, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and other handyman tasks to support building interior maintenance and aesthetic upkeep.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues using schematics and ohmmeters; repair HVAC systems and plumbing systems as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and system logs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or tenants with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Lead small maintenance projects or team efforts when necessary to ensure timely completion of repairs or upgrades.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related roles with knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, and general mechanical repairs.
- Familiarity with schematics, electrical equipment repair, HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance and repair, and the use of hand tools including ohmmeters.
- Strong understanding of maintenance painting techniques and building interior upkeep.
- Ability to read technical schematics and troubleshoot electrical or mechanical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and effective customer service interactions.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, or working in confined spaces.
