Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Bore Drill Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy-duty drilling equipment to create precise boreholes for various construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure the successful completion of infrastructure developments and underground utilities installation.
Responsibilities
- Operate bore drilling machinery with precision to meet project specifications and safety standards
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of drilling equipment, including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and dump trucks
- Follow detailed plans and technical drawings to accurately position boreholes at designated locations
- Coordinate with project managers and other heavy equipment operators to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion
- Maintain safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to site regulations
- Assist with the setup of construction sites by operating related machinery such as caterpillar equipment and horizontal drilling tools
- Document daily operations, including drilling progress, equipment performance, and any issues encountered
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, and horizontal drilling machines
- Strong mechanical knowledge of construction machinery and tools
- Valid commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with excavator and tanker operation is preferred
- Construction site experience with familiarity in utility installation, or infrastructure projects
- Ability to read technical plans and follow detailed instructions accurately
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites
