Pay: $20.00 per hour | Daily Pay

Affordable Movers is hiring experienced, dependable movers and drivers to join our Dayton team. This is a physically active, customer-facing position that requires teamwork, attention to detail, and respect for customers’ homes and belongings.

We are looking for professionals who arrive ready to work, follow instructions, and understand how to complete a move safely and efficiently.

Position Responsibilities

• Complete residential and commercial moves while maintaining a professional attitude.
• Safely load, unload, and carry furniture, appliances, boxes, and other belongings.
• Use moving blankets, shrink wrap, straps, dollies, and other equipment to protect and secure items.
• Protect floors, walls, doorways, and surrounding areas throughout each move.
• Disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed.
• Organize truck space and secure loads to reduce shifting and damage during transportation.
• Follow directions from the crew leader and communicate clearly with teammates.
• Treat customers respectfully and promptly report damage, concerns, or job-related issues.
• Maintain clean trucks and keep moving equipment organized.

Additional Driver Responsibilities

• Safely operate company moving trucks and follow traffic laws and company safety procedures.
• Complete vehicle inspections before and after trips.
• Report mechanical problems or safety concerns promptly.
• Confirm that cargo is properly secured before departure.
• Coordinate with the crew and dispatch regarding arrival times and job progress.

Qualifications

• Previous professional moving experience required.
• Experience wrapping, handling, and loading furniture.
• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting and carrying heavy items with appropriate equipment and team assistance.
• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and reliable transportation to work.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to work well with a crew.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and take direction.
• Driver applicants must have a valid driver’s license, experience operating moving trucks, and meet company driver qualification requirements.

Compensation

• $20.00 per hour
• Daily pay
