Experienced Residential / Commercial Lawn Mowing Technician
Affordable Lawn & Landscaping has proudly served the Fredericksburg, Stafford, and Spotsylvania communities for 20 years. We're looking for dependable, experienced lawn maintenance professionals who take pride in producing clean, professional results.

Please be honest about your experience. After 20 years in business, we've learned that it only takes a few minutes to recognize someone with real commercial lawn maintenance experience. There's nothing wrong with being new—we simply ask that you accurately represent your skills so we can place you in the right position.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial zero-turn mowers safely and efficiently.
- Produce clean, professional mowing stripes.
- Weed eat around trees, fences, mailboxes, signs, landscape beds, and buildings without causing damage.
- Edge sidewalks, curbs, and driveways using a string trimmer.
- Blow off sidewalks, driveways, patios, curbs, and parking areas before leaving each property.
- Inspect each property for obstacles such as sprinkler heads, drainage pop-ups, landscape lighting, and hidden objects.
- Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Represent Affordable Lawn & Landscaping professionally at every job site.
Requirements
- Previous commercial / residential lawn maintenance experience preferred.
- Experience operating commercial zero-turn mowers.
- Experience using commercial string trimmers and backpack blowers.
- Ability to work outdoors in Virginia heat and varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and remain physically active throughout the day.
- Reliable transportation to our shop.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Dependable attendance.
- Ability to work well with a team.
Schedule
- Monday through Thursday
- Four 10-hour workdays
- Fridays only when needed because of weather delays
Our Hiring Process
Our hiring process is simple:
- Initial online conversation
- Phone interview
- Paid working interview
If invited, you'll report at 7:00 AM, meet with one of our supervisors, and spend the day riding and working with one of our experienced team leaders.
This allows you to see how we operate and gives us the opportunity to evaluate your skills in a real work environment.
If we're both happy at the end of the day, we'll offer you a full-time position.
If not, we'll pay you for the day's work through Cash App and part ways professionally.
