Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Director of Compliance located in the San Antonio, Texas Metropolitan Area. The Director of Compliance will lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of regulatory and legal compliance programs. Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to industry regulations, establishing robust policies and controls, conducting compliance audits, and training staff on compliance standards. The role also involves maintaining a thorough understanding of current laws affecting the insurance industry and fostering a culture of accountability and compliance within the organization.
Qualifications
- Proficient in Regulatory Compliance, Legal Compliance, and Compliance Management to ensure adherence to industry and governmental standards.
- Strong expertise in Analytical Skills to evaluate processes, identify risks, and recommend effective solutions.
- Experience in handling Finance-related compliance activities, such as audits, policy reviews, and ensuring proper financial regulations are followed.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills to manage compliance programs and train staff effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Compliance, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant compliance certifications (e.g., CCEP, CPCU) is a plus.
- Prior experience in the insurance industry, particularly health insurance, is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with federal and state insurance regulations, including ACA compliance, is an advantage.
