Affirmed Homecare is seeking a dedicated and bilingual Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide wellness support within a senior living community in Newark, NJ. This is a great opportunity for a nurse who enjoys preventive care, patient education, and building meaningful relationships with seniors in a community-based setting.
Position Overview:
The LPN will work within the wellness office of a senior citizen residential building, supporting residents through routine health monitoring and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and document vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, etc.)
- Provide basic health assessments and wellness recommendations
- Offer health education and guidance to senior residents
- Promote preventative care and healthy lifestyle habits
- Communicate effectively with residents in both English and Spanish
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Schedule:
- Mondays & Tuesdays
- 6 hours per day
Qualifications:
- Active New Jersey LPN license
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with seniors preferred
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach
