EXCITING OPPORTUNITY!
Our client, an electrical sales and service company, is in search of an Accounting Assistant in Houma, Louisiana.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare depreciation schedules.
- Research and resolve outstanding PO/Invoice related issues.
- Prepare reports/spreadsheets necessary for others to use.
- Perform basic job functions to support AR clerk, AP clerk and Payroll Clerk.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Perform balance-sheet account reconciliations.
- Assists in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
- Assist in cash flow projections and collections.
- Performs all applicable duties in accordance with ISO procedures, if required.
- Perform other skilled or non-skilled duties and assist controller and assistant controller with special projects, as required.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in accounting, finance or business.
- 2-3 years relative experience.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
- Candidate shall have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to interface with co-workers and/or customers.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and meet deadlines.
- Team player attitude with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
