Position Overview
The Vice President of Enterprise Project Management is responsible for leading the enterprise-wide project and program management function, establishing governance frameworks, and ensuring the successful execution of strategic initiatives across the organization.
This role oversees the Enterprise PMO (EPMO), aligning projects with corporate strategy while driving consistency, accountability, and execution excellence at scale.
Role Focus: Enterprise governance, strategic execution, and portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Enterprise PMO Leadership
Establish and lead the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO).
Define enterprise-wide project management standards, methodologies, and governance frameworks.
Drive consistency and best practices across all business units.
2. Strategic Portfolio Management
Oversee the organization’s full portfolio of strategic initiatives.
Prioritize projects based on business impact, ROI, and strategic alignment.
Balance resources across competing enterprise initiatives.
3. Governance & Execution Oversight
Implement governance structures, stage-gate processes, and approval frameworks.
Ensure all projects meet scope, timeline, budget, and quality expectations.
Provide executive oversight on mission-critical programs.
4. Risk & Dependency Management
Identify cross-project risks, dependencies, and execution bottlenecks.
Ensure proactive mitigation strategies and escalation protocols.
Maintain enterprise-level visibility into execution risks.
5. Cross-Functional Alignment
Coordinate across product, engineering, operations, finance, and compliance teams.
Ensure alignment between strategy, execution, and business outcomes.
Act as the central integration point for enterprise initiatives.
6. Performance & Executive Reporting
Define KPIs and dashboards for enterprise project performance.
Deliver executive-level reporting to leadership and board stakeholders.
Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making.
7. Capability Building
Build and scale high-performing PMO teams.
Develop project management capabilities, tools, and training programs.
Promote a culture of accountability and disciplined execution.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
18 years of experience in project/program management, operations, or strategy.
Proven experience leading enterprise PMO or large-scale transformation initiatives.
Strong leadership, governance, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
MBA or advanced degree.
PMP, PgMP, or Agile certifications.
Experience in financial services, fintech, or large-scale technology organizations.
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Asana, Trello, or enterprise PM systems.
