Position Overview: Responsible for leading and coordinating staffing on a 24-bed post-operative bariatric unit, ensuring quality patient care for weight loss surgery patients, primarily Gastric Bypass and Sleeve Gastrectomy procedures.

- Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during shifts.
- Assess patient care needs, develop care assignments, and ensure appropriate care delivery.
- Evaluate patient outcomes, address care issues, and respond to patient care complaints.
- Contribute to staff hiring, training, development, and performance evaluations.
- Current RN licensure by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- BLS certification within 30 days; ACLS and PALS may be required within six months depending on unit.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program with at least one year of relevant experience.
