Radiology Technologist | Clinic

Role Overview: This position performs radiologic and mammography procedures, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis in multiple facilities. It involves determining appropriate exposure techniques, positioning equipment, and following safety protocols, including the use of dose monitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts radiographic and mammography exams according to established standards and protocols.
• Prepares and positions equipment to obtain optimal images, with attention to safety and shielding.
• Reviews exam indications and reports any inappropriate requests.
• Provides complete and accurate exam data for radiologist interpretation.
• Utilizes systems such as PACS, RIS, HIS, and EMR for image archiving, retrieval, and transmission, ensuring proper storage and sharing of images and reports.
• Maintains department policies, quality standards, safety, infection control, and assists in training staff and students.
• Participates in recordkeeping and compliance with regulatory standards.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate's degree or completed training from an accredited Radiology School.
• ARRT Radiography certification upon hire; Mammography certification within one year.
• Preferred 1-3 years of radiology technologist experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively, maintain visual acuity, and work collaboratively.
