- Conducts radiographic and mammography exams according to established standards and protocols.
- Prepares and positions equipment to obtain optimal images, with attention to safety and shielding.
- Reviews exam indications and reports any inappropriate requests.
- Provides complete and accurate exam data for radiologist interpretation.
- Utilizes systems such as PACS, RIS, HIS, and EMR for image archiving, retrieval, and transmission, ensuring proper storage and sharing of images and reports.
- Maintains department policies, quality standards, safety, infection control, and assists in training staff and students.
- Participates in recordkeeping and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Associate's degree or completed training from an accredited Radiology School.
- ARRT Radiography certification upon hire; Mammography certification within one year.
- Preferred 1-3 years of radiology technologist experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively, maintain visual acuity, and work collaboratively.
