Your Role as a Dental Hygienist
- Welcome patients with warmth and ensure they feel comfortable and cared for throughout their visit
- Prepare and set up treatment rooms for hygiene procedures
- Update patients' health history and educate them on proper oral hygiene techniques
- Perform scaling, root planing, fluoride treatments, and other preventive care.
- Identify periodontal and restorative needs and communicate them effectively with the dentist
- Capture and interpret digital x-rays
- Conduct head, neck, and oral cancer screenings
- Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant environment
- Schedule follow-up appointments and ensure seamless patient experiences
What We’re Looking For
- Education: Associate degree or higher from an ADA-accredited dental hygiene program
- Licenses: Valid CT hygiene license and CPR certification
- Experience: 1 years of dental experience preferred, but new graduates are warmly welcomed!
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational abilities, and a commitment to delivering outstanding patient care
- Certifications: Certification in anesthesia (preferred)
