THE ROLE

We're looking for a detail-oriented, dependable entry-level bookkeeper to join our team on a part-time basis, with real opportunity to grow into a full-time role as our client base grows. This is a great fit for someone early in their accounting career who wants hands-on experience across a variety of small business clients, direct mentorship from an experienced CPA, and a supportive, relaxed team culture.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Categorize transactions accurately and consistently across a variety of client industries.
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
• Maintain organized, well-documented client files that hold up to review.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including entering bills, preparing payments, and applying customer payments.
• Communicate directly and professionally with clients to gather missing documentation or clarify transactions.
• Identify discrepancies in client books and help research and resolve them.
• Assist with bookkeeping cleanup projects and the onboarding of new clients.
• Learn and help apply the firm's accounting technology stack and embrace tech advances that improve efficiency and accuracy.

WHAT YOU BRING

• 0–2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks Online preferred; willingness and ability to become proficient required.
• Strong attention to detail and a genuine comfort working with numbers.
• Reliable and organized, with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines at once.
• A clear, friendly communicator who takes ownership of their work.
• Bookeeping Certificate of Associate's degree in accounting preferred, but equivalent experience considered.
• A genuine interest in building a long-term career in accounting.
