What You’ll Do
- Partner with plant leadership to lead safety meetings and foster engagement at every level.
- Implement and maintain effective safety programs that align with OSHA, EPA, ANSI, and NFPA standards.
- Train employees, maintain SDS (MSDS) records, and keep compliance front and center in day-to-day operations.
- Conduct safety inspections, identify hazards, and lead corrective actions that create a safer workplace.
- Keep communication flowing with leadership and employees, ensuring timely updates and proactive solutions.
- Strengthen the safety culture by turning regulations into practical, easy-to-follow actions.
- Reduce risks through proactive hazard recognition and prevention.
- Equip employees with the tools and knowledge to stay safe, confident, and productive.
- Contribute directly to operational excellence by integrating safety into every aspect of the plant environment.
- Background in safety, environmental health, or industrial operations (degree or equivalent experience).
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices in workplace safety.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to influence and lead.
- Safety-related certifications (CSP, ASP, CIH, GSP) or EMT/firefighter experience are a plus.
- Full-time, on-site position in Central Iowa. Hours are 11am – 8 pm, some Saturdays may be needed at times.
- Plant environment with exposure to temperature extremes and typical manufacturing noise levels.
- Flexibility to support occasional off-shift or weekend needs.
