Duties

• Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures to ensure a positive experience.
• Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details, medical history, and appointment specifics.
• Schedule appointments efficiently, reschedule as needed, and manage patient flow to minimize wait times.
• Answer phone calls promptly, address inquiries clearly, and direct calls to appropriate departments or personnel.
• Maintain accurate patient records by updating electronic health records (EHR) systems with current information.
• Provide support with medical administrative tasks such as billing, coding, and insurance verification.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care activities and ensure seamless communication.

Skills

• Proven experience working in a medical office environment or healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately understand and communicate health-related information.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy office setting.
• Familiarity with medical administrative support functions such as scheduling, billing, and insurance processing.
• Previous experience in urgent care or other specialized medical offices is a plus.
