This position plays a key role in daily warehouse operations by safely moving, storing, and handling materials while ensuring accurate order fulfillment and maintaining a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
What You’ll Do
- Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment
- Load and unload materials from trucks and rail shipments
- Use handheld scanners to receive, store, and pick inventory
- Accurately pick and prepare customer orders for shipment
- Organize and maintain inventory within the warehouse
- Sort, stack, and safely store materials in designated areas
- Break down freight and re-band pallets as needed
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections
- Assist will-call customers and safely load materials
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety
- Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of warehouse experience
- 1 years of Forklift experience (certification is a plus)
- Active driver’s license
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic computer skills and ability to use handheld scanners
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with moderate noise and varying weather conditions
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the shift
- Periods of sitting while operating warehouse equipment
- Ability to lift, push, and move 75 lbs.
