What You’ll Do
Drive Demand & Win Specifications
- Build relationships with architects, designers, spec writers, contractors, and other key influencers
- Develop strategies to get Aetna products specified into commercial and residential projects
- Increase brand awareness through presentations, lunch & learns, CEUs, and networking events
- Focus on key markets like Healthcare, Education, Hospitality, Retail, Multi-Family, and more
- Track and manage project opportunities from early design through order fulfillment
- Maintain accurate activity and pipeline updates in CRM tools
- Partner with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
- Visit job sites and fabricators to support project success and conversion
- Participate in industry events and professional organizations
- Keep up with market trends, competitive insights, and emerging opportunities
- Continuously build your expertise through training and certifications
- Work cross-functionally with sales, product, and customer support teams
- Share insights that help shape strategy and improve results
- Provide regular updates on activity, pipeline, and market feedback
- Proven ability to build strong professional relationships and influence decision-makers
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with excellent organization and follow-through
- Experience in sales, business development, or specification sales (3 years preferred)
- Familiarity with construction, design, or building materials industries is a plus
- Comfort using CRM systems and sales tools
- Experience working with decorative surfaces (HPL, quartz, solid surface, granite, etc.)
- Background in architecture, interior design, construction, or related fields
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Experience with project tracking tools like Dodge Data & Analytics
- A highly active, field-based role (approximately 90% outside sales)
- Daily travel within your territory to meet clients and grow business
