Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team: light electrical, basic plumbers, painting, flooring repairs, etc.
The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set to handle various maintenance and repair tasks efficiently. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Handy Man will be responsible for ensuring that all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed to the highest standards, contributing to the overall functionality and aesthetics of our facilities.
Duties
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on buildings, fixtures, and equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify issues that require attention.
- Utilize tools and equipment, including an ohmmeter, for electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
- Address plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, and fixture installations.
- Assist with painting, drywall repairs, and other cosmetic improvements.
- Ensure all work areas are clean and organized after completing tasks.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete larger projects efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Handy Man or in a similar role.
- Provide all your own tools and equipment to perform this job successfully.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment including an ohmmeter.
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks effectively.
- A valid driver’s license is required for transportation between job sites.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $70.00 - $90.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekends as needed
