The Business Development Manager - Custom Solutions (BDM) will work with technology, manufacturing, product management and marketing to develop and close business opportunities, market and launch new products, and support customers.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Grow and Maintain customer relationships
- Conduct market surveys to inform the development of strategy and investment plans
- Identify and Close sales opportunities at core accounts
- Identify and Close sales opportunities by acquiring new customers
- Track and Feed competitive developments to organization
- Work with internal team to build business case for New Product Developments (NPD),
- optimize products for market needs, build value propositions and deliver commercial
- presentations
- Keep CRM (Salesforce.com) tool up to date and updates leadership on weekly basis via
- Activity Reports
- Guide pricing strategy based on market insight and customer feedback
- Champion reporting and resolution of quality concerns
- Participate in trade conferences and shows to increase company and product awareness
- Develop and Report Monthly Forecasts, Annual Sales Budgets and Expense Budgets
- Travel up to 60% of the time
What You Need to Succeed:
- BA/BS in Science/Engineering/Business Administration, Desired MBA.
- 5 years of working in similar industry.
- The ideal candidate would possess excellent communication skills, be service oriented, have leadership ability, be self-directed and be able to interface with manufacturing.
- Skills associated with selling a technical product line.
- Experience in developing executive level relationships and leveraging them to close business.
- Experience in developing territory plan and executing on highest priorities.
- Self driven team player.
- Comfortable in a home office and/or customer environment.
- Possesses knowledge of the Automotive and Transpiration markets and specifications.
- Comfortable exploring new segments with new products.
- Familiar with selling into Converters and OEMs.
- Exhibits effective listening skills and superb communication skills. Actively seeks feedback and receives it in a non-defensive manner.
- Understands and meets the needs of all customers as well as addresses the concerns of organization stakeholders.
- Adaptable and eager to learn.
- High level of time management ability
