Position Summary
Aertssen Logistics USA, Inc. is expanding its operations to Tacoma, WA, and seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our Repair team. This role performs reconfiguration, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work on aerial work platforms, construction equipment, farm machinery, and forklifts. The Repair Technician supports the repair team in resolving mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to ensure all equipment is delivered to customers in a safe and fully operational condition. They are fully aware of the risks associated with working on mechanical parts, hydraulic systems, and electrical circuits.

This position is designated as a safety-sensitive role. The essential functions of this position include the operation of heavy machinery, construction equipment, powered industrial trucks (including forklifts), or the supervision of employees performing such duties. Performance of these duties while impaired could present a substantial risk of serious injury to the employee or others.

Responsibilities
Repair and Maintenance Duties
- Performs technical inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of machinery.
- Identifies and resolves hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical faults.
- Follows technical diagrams, schematics, and work instructions to ensure accurate completion of repairs.
- Troubleshoots using multimeters, pressure gauges, and diagnostic tools.
- Replaces parts, makes necessary adjustments, and verifies the machine's correct operation after repair.
- Records all work performed on the app to maintain a log of services completed per work order.
- Possesses a complete understanding of how to troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical circuits.
- Communicates any complex or recurring issues to the team lead or manager.
- Always adheres to safety standards and quality procedures.
- Assists in maintaining an organized and safe workshop environment.
- Participates in ongoing training to improve technical knowledge and skillset.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs.
- Ability to read and understand technical schematics and repair documentation.
- Knowledge of proper tool usage is a must!
- Team player with a proactive and safety-minded attitude.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work on large machinery.
- Proficiency in operating construction equipment, aerial work platforms, and forklifts is preferred.
- Ability to safely lift, push, and/or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds and perform regular physical tasks using proper techniques.
- Comfortable working in small or confined spaces and tight loading areas while maintaining situational awareness.
- Ability to climb up, under, around, and over large equipment and work safely at heights of up to 30 feet in accordance with safety procedures.
- Comfortable working outdoors year-round and in non-climate-controlled warehouses.
- A current, valid driver's license, with an insurable driving record, is required.
- Hourly range: $31.00 – $31.00 per hour (non-exempt, overtime eligible)
