Job Description
As a Soldering Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electronic circuit boards to the component level. You will need to understand electronic circuits and be able to read complex schematic diagrams to effectively trace components for repair. Utilizing test and measurement equipment, such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and volt meters, is essential. You will perform both surface mount and thru-hole soldering techniques, handle Hard Drive devices, and adhere to ESD policy standards. Maintaining satisfactory quality performance levels and a clean, organized workstation is expected. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic circuit boards to the component level.
- Read and understand sophisticated schematic diagrams for troubleshooting.
- Use test and measurement equipment like oscilloscopes and volt meters.
- Perform surface mount and thru-hole soldering techniques.
- Handle Hard Drive devices while maintaining ESD policy standards.
- Maintain satisfactory quality performance levels.
- Keep a clean and organized workstation.
Essential Skills
- 6 months of soldering experience.
- Proven ability to test and troubleshoot electronic circuit boards.
- Experience in board-level and multi-layer board repair.
- Experience with Set Top Boxes and Gateways Circuits.
- Familiarity with voltmeter and oscilloscope.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask.
- Proactive problem-solving ability.
- Knowledge of electronic circuit componentry and theory.
- Possess soldering and de-soldering skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Electronics Certification.
- Pass a Technical Aptitude Test.

Work Environment
You will work in a clean and temperature-controlled environment. The position is located in West Chester, with shifts available from 7:15 AM to 3:30 PM, 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM, and 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday. Additionally, there is a shift in Coatesville from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Chester, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.50/hr.
