Aerospace Quality Research and Development - MRO
Title: Weekend Aerospace Liaison Engineer
Status: Salaried
Shift: Friday through Sunday, 9:00am to 9:00pm
Location: Addison, TX (ADS)
(There may be extended training required in Columbus, OH - CMH).
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or associate Degree in Engineering from an accredited school, required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and other company technology systems
- Work Experience 3 Years, required
- Structural Repair Experience, required
- Extensive experience in reading/researching aircraft AMM/IPC/SRM/CMM data, required
- A&P License, Maintenance Control or other shop experience, preferred
- Corporate Jet Experience, preferred
- Experience working for or directly supporting Part 145 Repair Stations, preferred
- Aircraft Interior Design / Refurbishment experience, preferred
- Aircraft Cabin Entertainment / Avionics experience, preferred
Primary Duties:
- 10% Travel Required - There may be travel up to 10% to other customer and vendor locations in the USA
- This position will also provide administrative, technical writing, project management, and coordination directly with customers, which will require occasional support during nights and weekends
- Design, draft, and analyze repairs/alterations for all aircraft structures, ensuring that all work complies with respective FAA Regulations
- Responsibilities include Fleetwide and Maintenance Reliability projects
- Perform Scheduled Event engineering projects, develop Event Maintenance task cards
- Initiate and participate in Supplemental SRM/IPC repair projects based off common findings
- Provide On-Wing Support for difficult repair evaluations
- Technical writing is part of daily job duties
- Support customers materials group to reduce costs and lead-times
- Convert recurring AOG events into fleet wide solutions
- Create fleet wide solutions or scope out solutions and send to include all team resources best fit to create solutions
- Proactively support customer maintenance efforts to improve aircraft availably while reducing costs

- Ability to attend required business meetings - in person, or video call in, as coordinated Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the work day.
- Ability to work in an airport hangar and/or office cubicle environment.

- Handle multiple priorities with good attention to details / accuracy
- Exercise good judgment in determining activities and tasks, as needed, to properly complete assignments
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Accuracy with data entry

- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
- Must have a passion for the aerospace industry
- Must adhere to all safety standards established by the company and regulatory agencies

- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Ability to use a gram scale accurately
- Must be self-motivated
- Must be able to prioritize tasks independently
