Job Title: Aerospace Liaison Engineer

Department: MRO

Pay: Salary, plus benefits

Shift: First Shift, 8:00am - 5:00pm ET Reports to: Engineering Operations Manager Location: Dallas, Columbus, Chattanooga)

(There will be 3-6 months of training required in Dallas, TX - AQRD HQ).

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or associate degree from an accredited institution in Engineering
  • Work Experience 3  Years
  • Structural Repair Experience
  • Extensive experience in reading/researching aircraft AMM/IPC/SRM/CMM data

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A&P License, Maintenance Control or other shop experience
  • Corporate Jet Experience
  • Experience working for or directly supporting Part 145 Repair Stations
  • Experience in AAIP Programs, Aircraft Reliability Support
  • Experience in analyzing aircraft systems performance to support changes to aircraft Maintenance programs
  • Aircraft Cabin Entertainment / Avionics experience

 

Primary Duties:

  • 10% Travel Required - There may be travel up to 10% to other customer and vendor locations in the USA
  • This position will also provide administrative, technical writing, project management, and coordination directly with customers, which will require occasional support during nights and weekends
  • Design, draft, and analyze repairs/alterations for all aircraft structures, ensuring that all work complies with respective FAA Regulations
  • Responsibilities include Fleet-wide and Maintenance Reliability projects

  • Provide On-Wing Support for difficult repair evaluations.
  • Support customers materials group to reduce costs and lead-times
  • Convert recurring AOG events into fleet wide solutions
  • Create fleet wide solutions or scope out solutions and send to include all team resources best fit to create solutions
  • Proactively support customer maintenance efforts to improve aircraft availably while reducing costs

 

Abilities Required:

  • Excellence in business communications, manner and appearance on behalf of AQRD-MRO, for customer and coworker communications
  • Good technical writing skills including understanding aircraft drawings, and aircraft manuals (IPC, SRM, AMM, MM, CMM)
  • Be attentive to the customer needs, project timelines, and requested approach at all times
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive to address work related concerns
  • Ability to attend required business meetings - in person, or video call in, as coordinated
  • Exceptional teamwork ability, and a drive/passion for the aerospace industry
  • Ability to travel for business, as needed
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and other company technology systems
  • Handle multiple priorities with good attention to details / accuracy
  • Exercise good judgment in determining activities and tasks, as needed, to properly complete assignments
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills
  • Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Accuracy with data entry
  • Performs under general supervision and follows direction well
  • Gets along well with others, including coworkers
  • Ability to sit and stand to complete tasks requires in job role
  • Proficiency in reading/researching aircraft technical data, as required, (Practical Exam to be given).
