AeroControlex is currently seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically skilled Pump Assembly Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly, inspection, and testing of precision pump systems used in aerospace and related industries. This position offers a full-time opportunity on our first shift, with competitive pay, and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and follow detailed technical instructions, including mechanical drawings, work instructions, schematics, and OEM documentation
- Assemble mechanical and hydraulic pump components using both powered and manual hand tools (e.g., wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, drills, and laser markers)
- Utilize precision measuring instruments (such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges) to verify tolerances and ensure dimensional accuracy
- Understand and apply basic principles of pump operation, hydraulics, fluid dynamics, and control systems during assembly and testing
- Set up and execute testing procedures, record test results accurately, and document findings in compliance with internal, customer, and regulatory requirements
- Inspect completed assemblies for quality assurance and adherence to engineering specifications and industry standards
- Use PC-based applications to retrieve technical documentation, access job data, and log work progress
- Manage tasks independently, follow production schedules, and contribute to a collaborative team environment
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of mechanical assembly experience preferred, ideally in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with pump systems and a foundational understanding of the aerospace industry is preferred
- Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical schematics, and assembly documentation
- Skilled in using various hand tools, measuring instruments, and basic mechanical equipment
- Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working overtime to meet production demands
- Basic proficiency with computers and the ability to navigate PC-based systems
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical trade school certification or vocational training is preferred
