Mission description
Northwest Aerospace Technologies (NAT), a Safran Company, is the only EASA DOA Certified aircraft interior reconfiguration group in the United States. Focusing on commercial and military aircrafts, NAT provides first class services in design, engineering, quality, certification, and manufacturing for a variety of Blue-Chip customers. Position Summary: The Program Manager is responsible for managing the program from contract award through final modification parts kit delivery. The Program Manager is responsible for establishing, monitoring, and integrating program elements including statement of work, schedule, budget, resources, procurement, manufacturing, quality, communications, risks, and change management. The Program Manager services as liaison between the Customer, Sales and Marketing, Project Team, Certification, Finance, Operations, and NAT Management. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Act as primary customer contact. Develop, integrate, execute and maintain Program Plan consisting of: Approved & Integrated Statement of Work Approved & Integrated Schedule Approved Budget Program Assumptions and Decisions Roles and Responsibilities Lines of Communication Ensure Customer, Project Team, Certification, Finance, Operations and NAT Management understand and agree to Program Plan and are made aware of changes to the Plan. Establish and maintain Program Management Tools consisting of, but not limited to: Program Plan Project Set up Form Data Requirements Matrix Action Items Risk Matrix Lead and coordinate major program milestone meetings (e.g. ITCM, PDR, CDR, FAI, etc.) Coordinate commercial and proprietary issues with Customer, Finance and Marketing (e.g. obtain POs, prepare NDAs, assist with GTAs, etc.). Manage resources, quality, communications and program risks. Manage and control changes to statement of work, schedule or budget. Develop, coordinate and implement solutions to problems. Coordinate on-site support and travel. Report project status on a regular basis. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Participate in proposal preparation as needed. Understand and promote all health, safety and environmental legal and regulatory requirements including company policies and standards. Lead by example, enforce and sustain a strong minded safety culture and compliance driven practices in the work environment. Program Manager coordinates internally with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Certification, Procurement, Manufacturing and Quality. Program Manager coordinates externally with the Customer, Customer's Suppliers, and Offload companies. Local and international travel may be required, depending on assignment and can be up to 20%.
Knowledge/Experience: Must have an AA degree with a minimum of 5 years of program management experience in the aerospace industry or a BA or BS degree with a minimum of 5 years of program management experience in the aerospace industry. Skills/Abilities: MS Project, Excel and Word required. Excellent communication and organization skills required. Must have a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of management and to manage complex technical programs. Basic understanding of Engineering, Certification, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance and Contracts preferred. Experience with Earned Value principles preferred.
